Today, Cedar Children’s Academy was filled with music, movement, and creativity as pupils took part in the Royal Opera House Create Day 2025, held in partnership with the UN Rights Respecting initiative. The event was a joyful celebration of the arts, centred around the themes of singing, dancing and creating, with a powerful message of hope woven throughout the day.

From the very first note to the final bow, the children embraced the opportunity to express themselves through collaborative performances that highlighted their talents and imagination. The day’s activities encouraged pupils to explore their rights, their voices, and their dreams, culminating in a moving performance that left the entire school community inspired.

A standout moment was the children’s rendition of a specially composed song that spoke of empowerment and self-belief, with lyrics that reminded everyone that they are in control of their own destiny. The performance was not only mesmerising but also deeply meaningful, as it reflected the confidence and unity fostered throughout the day.

The final showcase, where pupils performed their creative collaborations to the rest of the school, was a true testament to their hard work, enthusiasm and team spirit. Staff and students alike were captivated by the energy and emotion on display.

The Royal Opera House Create Day 2025 was a resounding success at Cedar Children’s Academy, leaving a lasting impression on all who took part. It was a day filled with joy, creativity and above all, hope for a bright and empowered future.
