TSArTs Week 2025: Cedar’s Final Celebration of Creativity

July 3, 2025 09:04am

TSArTs Week returned for its final year—and at Cedar Children’s Academy, we made sure it was our most creative and inspiring celebration yet. As part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, we were proud to take part in this joyful event, which aimed to celebrate creativity, build confidence and foster community through the arts.

The week began in spectacular fashion on Monday 23rd June with our very own Cedar’s Got Talent show. Pupils from across the school took to the stage to showcase their incredible talents—from singing and dancing to gymnastics, comedy and cartoons. It was a heartwarming and uplifting start to the week, giving every child a chance to shine and be celebrated.

The rest of the week followed with themed days that encouraged pupils to explore different forms of artistic expression:

  • Tuesday 24th June – Words: Pupils explored the power of language through poetry, storytelling and creative writing. From imaginative tales to heartfelt reflections, the day was filled with literary creativity.
  • Wednesday 25th June – Images: A celebration of visual arts, this day saw pupils painting, drawing and creating digital artwork. The school was transformed into a gallery of colour and imagination.
  • Thursday 26th June – Sounds: Music and rhythm took centre stage as pupils experimented with instruments, composed songs and explored soundscapes. The school was alive with joyful noise and musical discovery.

Each day, schools across the Trust shared highlights with Thinking Creative, helping to build a collective celebration of the arts and showcase the incredible talent within our community.

TSArTs Week was more than just a series of activities—it served as a powerful reminder of the importance of expression, inclusion, and creativity in education. At Cedar, we were proud to give our pupils a voice and a platform to explore their passions and talents.

As we said goodbye to TSArTs Week, we did so with pride and gratitude for the memories made and the creativity shared. The spirit of the arts will continue to thrive at Cedar Children’s Academy.
