Kelly Tolhurst MP Visits Cedar’s Benjamin and Mitchell

Cedar Children’s Academy had the pleasure of welcoming our local MP, Kelly Tolhurst, to the school yesterday to meet Year 5 pupils Benjamin and Mitchell.

Year 5 took part in a local poster competition last year run by Litter Angels, a charity which aims to increase awareness of littering and help to maintain a greener, cleaner environment for all. There were hundreds of entries across Medway, but the winner and runner-up were both pupils at Cedar! Benjamin designed the winning poster, and was awarded with his design on a printed mug, along with £50 for himself and £100 for the school.

It was excellent to see our children engaging in the competition, and thinking about how we can work together to protect our environment and developing our green strategy.

Thank you to Kelly Tolhurst for visiting the children and celebrating this excellent achievement with them, and congratulations to Benjamin and Mitchell for this amazing achievement. We are very proud!
