TCS Mini Marathon Success at Our School

Our school community came together in fantastic spirit this month as pupils from across the year groups took part in our very own TCS Mini Marathon. The event, held on the school grounds, encouraged every child to get active, challenge themselves and enjoy the fun of running alongside their friends, parents, carers and teachers. On the day, we saw over 1500 families and children take part in this spectacular event.

Children showed brilliant determination as they completed their laps, with many pushing themselves to run further than they ever had before. The school field was filled with cheers, encouragement and plenty of smiles as families and staff supported the runners throughout the day. It was a wonderful celebration of fitness, resilience and teamwork — values we are proud to nurture in all our pupils.

Representing Our School at the London Mini-Marathon

We are also incredibly proud to share that 12 of our pupils were selected to take part in the London Mini-Marathon on Saturday 25th April, joining around 22,000 children from across the country. The event, which covers a 2.6km route through central London, is one of the largest youth running events in the UK and offers young people a chance to experience the excitement of a major sporting occasion.

Our runners represented the school brilliantly, showing confidence, enthusiasm and true sportsmanship from start to finish. For many, it was their first time taking part in such a large-scale event — and they rose to the challenge with huge smiles and impressive determination. Families and staff who attended were bursting with pride as the children crossed the finish line.

Taking part in the London Mini-Marathon is a memorable achievement, and we hope it inspires even more pupils to get involved in running and physical activity in the future.

A Huge Well Done to All Our Runners

Whether running around the school field or through the streets of London, every child who took part demonstrated fantastic effort and a positive attitude. We are incredibly proud of them all.

Thank you to the staff, parents and carers who supported the events, helped with training, and cheered our runners on. Your encouragement makes all the difference.

We look forward to building on this success and continuing to promote health, wellbeing and a love of sport throughout our school community.
